Job Summary
Operate and monitor the water treatment plant, water collection system, and associated computer systems. Perform maintenance and calibration of equipment, collect samples from outfalls and ponds, and conduct laboratory analyses. Calibrate monitoring instruments and operate mobile equipment to support other activities. Maintain awareness of occupational hazards and adhere to safety practices. Work a rotating schedule of nights and days. Join a collaborative, high-performing team within Nevada Gold Mines' Process Operations department.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to collect samples, process and accurately report on results
- Working ability in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the basic principles and methods used in metallurgical, laboratory and processing analyses
- Working knowledge of pumps and pumping systems
- Working knowledge of computers and software
- Working knowledge of water treatment plant operations
