Job Summary
Execute geological mapping at district and local scales to interpret lithological, alteration–mineralization, and structural controls of the hydrothermal system. Identify controls on mineralization and perform drill hole and outcrop logging using digital tools to generate Quick-Logs and Full-Logs. Conduct geological and structural interpretations in cross sections and plan views, then keep all mapping work, drill data, maps, and sections updated across exploration projects. Prepare written reports and PowerPoint presentations for technical site visits and end-of-season summaries while enforcing the Health and Safety Management System to achieve zero incidents. This role supports the discovery and advancement of gold and/or copper deposits within Turquoise Ridge's global exploration organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geological Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in metallic mineral exploration
- Knowledge and ability to recognize metallic ore minerals and alteration minerals
- Technical competence at regional to local scales, in Magmatic-hydrothermal systems or Orogenic gold systems
- Intermediate to advanced spoken and written English
- Ability or willingness to work in other countries and/or exploration projects
Desired Qualifications
- primarily gold and copper
- Experience using geological software applied, such as Leapfrog, ArcGIS Pro, and IOgas
