Job Summary
Develop long-term customer relationships with building owners and strengthen existing accounts by delivering total energy-efficient solutions through design-build offerings. Take a consultative approach to pursue new business, qualify opportunities early, and facilitate engaging conversations that establish value and create demand. Actively listen to identify concerns, assist customers with technical questions on energy systems and controls, and act as a facilitator to help customers buy by developing project business cases and financial proformas. Gather preliminary information, perform facility walk-throughs, and review construction plans to validate requirements. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop system-related solutions, including financial and performance-based options. Monday through Thursday onsite work with flexible Friday scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
- 5+ years of solution sales experience with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- 5+ years of experience in an estimating or engineering role within the commercial built environment
- A desire to understand our business and passion to connect current and potential customers with service offerings designed to create efficient and sustainable buildings
- Ability to engage multiple stakeholders, influencers, and key decision makers
- Demonstrated ability to generate and qualify leads, facilitate customer conversations with business level insights to establish value and create demand, close new business and the grow existing account relationships
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Self-starter mindset
- Available for local travel
- Valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months
- No major or frequent traffic violations in the previous 3 years (including DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions)
- Pass additional drug screening
