Job Summary
Turkish Distance Learning Associate Language Instructor delivers live virtual language instruction to improve Turkish proficiency across listening, reading, and speaking, supports regional and cultural learning, develops lesson plans, assesses student work, and maintains a professional online learning environment. The role requires U.S. Citizenship, native/near-native Turkish proficiency to ILR 3/3/3, virtual instructional experience, ability to tailor blended-learning materials, and access to a suitable computer setup with reliable internet. English language qualifications include ILR 2+ or ACTFL OPI or TOEFL/ECL equivalents. Desired qualifications include experience with online platforms (CL-150, Adobe Connect, Canvas, Moodle) and a Bachelor's Degree.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Educated native speaker or near-native capability in Turkish with ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent
- Experience delivering virtual foreign language instruction
- Experience creating blended learning lessons and tailoring materials to customer needs
- Access to computer with Windows, webcam, headset with microphone, smartphone/tablet, and high-speed internet
- English language qualifications with ILR level 2+ or ACTFL OPI or TOEFL/TOEIC/ECL equivalents as specified
- Proficiency in general professional-level (ILR 2+ or ACTFL Advanced-High) in Turkish
- Experience using online platforms such as CL-150, Adobe Connect, Canvas, Moodle (desired)
- Bachelor's Degree (desired)
- Ability to develop lessons and assess student performance
