Tunneling Project Superintendent

Job Summary
Manage the tunneling project by leading crews and subcontractors to complete work safely, on time, and on budget. Review and submit daily time sheets, maintain accurate equipment reports, and coordinate all utility and subcontractor requirements. Schedule labor and equipment with the Project Manager and Dispatcher daily by 1:00 PM for the following day, while submitting a rolling four-week look-ahead to the Division Manager. Lead daily risk assessments, toolbox talks, and training to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and Posillicos SUE procedures. Supervise Foremen and train field staff to carry out tasks effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Ten years of experience in heavy civil work
- MTBM experience
- conventional tunneling experience
- HDD experience
- B.S. degree in a relevant field
- 5 years of experience in Microtunneling
- conventional tunneling experience (5 years)
- geotechnical work experience (5 years)
- Experience in Heavy Construction (site-work, roads, or environmental)
- Must be capable of meeting deadlines
- Self-motivated
- Detail-oriented
- Above-average interpersonal skills
- Excellent follow-through capability
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to accurately process written documents
- Ability to perform duties on time
- Highly organized
- Ability to interface and communicate effectively with the company, clients, and field personnel at all levels
