Job Summary
Tunnel Plant Manager responsible for purchase, lease, maintenance, safety, and repair of project equipment for tunneling topics related to CCW south works, including slurry TBM, shaft sinking, 3.3km bored tunnel, and interfaces with marine works; leads procurement, maintenance, and plant team, coordinates with TBM/STP suppliers, ensures compliance with local laws and company policies, and supports environmental permits; requires a Bachelor in Mechanics/Engineering and 10-15 years of tunneling-equipment management experience; based on project in Darlington, ON with flexibility for travel/relocation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor in Mechanics/Engineering
- Minimum of 10-15 years' experience in similar role or as a Tunnel Boring Machine and Equipment Manager/Superintendent
- Experience on a minimum of 2 or 3 tunnel projects
- Experience in the operation and maintenance on at least 1 project using the type of pressurized face Tunnel Boring Machine being proposed for the work (slurry machine)
- Experience in Microsoft Office and relevant spare parts management software
- Strong critical thinking skills and communication skills
- Regular, reliable attendance
- Work productively and meet deadlines timely
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
- Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.

- Base Compensation: $140,000/yr - $170,000/yr
