Job Summary
Operate the tunnel control station, directing the laundry process from initial load through wash, extraction, and transfer to drying. Program wash formulas, adjust water levels and chemical injection rates, and coordinate article flow to maintain continuous production. Monitor gauges and indicators for system integrity, identify equipment malfunctions, and report issues promptly. Sort articles into lots by color and fabric type, maintain accurate production records, and clean filters and station areas. Report safety hazards and perform general production tasks including sorting, loading, and folding as needed. Work flexible hours, 40+ hours per week, seven days a week in a non-air conditioned environment with exposure to heat, humidity, and cold.
Required Qualifications
- Perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, kneeling and squatting
- Able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis
- Able to stand in excess of 7 hours during a regular shift
- Match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness
- Make quick, coordinated and repeated movements with fingers, hands, and wrists
- Ability to work flexible hours, 40+ hours per week, 7 days a week; according to seasonal needs
- Work environment includes exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, and cold
- Regular attendance and punctuality are expected in accordance to company policy
