Job Summary
Operate plant machinery and equipment following safety rules to produce quality products. Read specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements; monitor dryer operation and adjust parameters; perform routine machine maintenance; start up machinery for daily production; complete labor tasks and maintain clear, orderly work areas. Requires ability to read and interpret safety and procedures documents, be self-motivated, work independently, perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure, stand for long periods, and lift/move up to 70 lbs. Experience with manufacturing/production environments and commitment to safety and accuracy are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, or 0-6 months of related experience in trades or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
- Must be able to stand for extended periods; lift/move up to 70 lbs
