Tubing Shop Technician

Job Summary
Inspect, maintain, and prepare well control tubular equipment before delivery to customers, including cleaning with power washers and operating automated machinery. Assess damage on returned rental gear, perform visual inspections and functional tests on new equipment, and stencil or identify items entering inventory. Protect rental equipment from the elements prior to shipping or placing in stock. Load and unload equipment using a forklift, maintain shop organization, and perform general maintenance duties. Read specifications and procedures while adhering to safety policies. High school diploma preferred with oil and gas or warehouse experience; must pass physical and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must be able to pass Work Steps physical, including ability to lift 125 lbs.
- Must have a safe driving record
- Must be willing to submit to and able to pass a pre-employment drug test, MVR check and criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in the oil and gas or related field preferred
- Previous experience in warehouse or production is preferred
- Previous experience operating mechanical equipment is preferred
- Ability to identify and utilize basic hand tools is preferred
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, etc.
