Job Summary
Tube Mill Technician (1st shift) operates tubing end finishers, band saws, overhead crane, forklifts; assists with tooling installation on Tube Mills; performs quality checks and records; maintains mill/equipment; handles material and packaging for shipments; reads tape measures and blueprints; requires English literacy and PPE; overtime/weekend availability; HS diploma or GED (preferred) with 3–6 months related experience; 18+; valid operator license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred
- Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- On the job training (OJT) by qualified operator/Team Lead
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to read tape measures and blue prints
- Able to operate runout tables, end finishing and bundling, storage building loads
- Must qualify and maintain handler’s equipment operator license as provided by the company
- Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Must be able to wear PPE (metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, ear plugs, etc)
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
