Tube Mill Operator II

Job Summary
Setup, adjust, and operate High Frequency Welded Tube Mills, including sizing rolls, weld rolls, and induction welders, while monitoring control panels and temperatures. Perform troubleshooting, conduct quality inspections, and analyze SPC data to optimize productivity and ensure tubing meets specifications. Execute dimensional, visual, burst, and flare testing; document nonconformities, and operate lift trucks for material handling. Maintain equipment cleanliness per 5S guidelines and assist with process examinations, root cause analysis, and safety audits. Provide training to mill helpers and work from production schedules and specifications. This safety-sensitive role supports continuous operation at FET's manufacturing facility serving the energy industry.
Required Qualifications
- Welded Tube Mill process experience
- Ability to read and interpret production orders, prints, specifications, and SPC charts
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mill components and tooling
- Proficiency with measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Basic computer proficiency
- Forklift certification
- Working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of HSE regulations
- Strong collaboration, communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with routinely changing priorities
- Welded tube mill or related manufacturing experience of 3+ years

- MFG-L4-3 Mill Hook Up and Spooling Procedure
- QC-L4-7 Visual Inspection of Strip and Tubing and Defect Removal Procedure
- QC-L4-8 Flattening and Flare Testing Procedure
