Job Summary
Operate and maintain the tube laser cutting machine to ensure precision cuts on structural steel components. Load, unload, and maneuver raw materials using overhead cranes and forklifts while interpreting fabrication drawings and work orders. Perform basic machine troubleshooting, monitor outputs for compliance, and log production data and maintenance activities. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and collaborate with team members to meet production schedules. Requires 2+ years of CNC machinery experience and certification for overhead cranes and forklifts. Shift runs 5:30am to 3:30pm Monday through Thursday.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience operating CNC machinery, beamlines, or similar automated fabrication equipment
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with the tube lasers
- Familiarity with structural steel fabrication and material identification
