Job Summary
Associate Thai Language Instructor providing in-person instruction in Honolulu, Hawaii. Duties include delivering modular web-based language instruction to improve speaking and listening scores (targeting ACTFL/OPI improvements by 0.5 point or more), teaching listening/reading/writing/speaking skills, developing learning materials, and utilizing computer skills to organize data and materials. Responsibilities also cover on-the-spot instruction based on student interests and levels (ILR 0+ to 3), attendance and daily progress notes, daily homework review and feedback, grading assessments as requested, maintaining a positive online and telephonic learning environment, addressing behavior/attendance concerns with the site lead, and collaborating with the Site Lead. English language qualifications include ILR level 2, TOEFL or ECL scores, or ACTFL OPI at required levels. Target language qualifications require ILR 2+ or ACTFL Advanced-High, demonstrated via OPI or ACTFL-certified interview or DLIFLC assessment. Desired qualifications include experience using online platforms such as CL-150 or Blackboard.
Required Qualifications

- Native or near-native language capability in Thai
- Experience in language and cultural education
- Measurable past performance of improving speaking and listening abilities
