Job Summary
Provide tailored and modular web-based Chinese language instruction to improve speaking/listening skills, aiming for proficiency gains (OPI/ILR/ACTFL benchmarks). Deliver in-person instruction in listening, reading, writing, and speaking, develop learning materials, assess and provide feedback, take attendance, and generate weekly progress reports. Maintain a positive, professional learning environment across web-based and telephonic channels, collaborate with the Site Lead, and utilize approved materials to support instruction. Requirements include access to reliable technology (computer, webcam, headset, internet) and English-language qualification benchmarks; target-language proficiency at ILR 2+ or ACTFL Advanced-High, and demonstration of professional language instruction experience. Desired experience with online platforms (e.g., CL-150, Blackboard).
Required Qualifications

- Native or near-native language ability in target language
- English language qualifications (ILR 2, TOEFL, ECL, or ACTFL OPI)
- Target language qualifications (ILR 2+ or ACTFL Advanced-High) or equivalent
- Experience in language and cultural education
- Proven ability to improve speaking/listening skills
- Knowledge of customs of target language region
- Experience with online platforms (desired)
