Job Summary
Perform applied research duties, including engineering and simulation analyses for roadside safety devices and conducting crash testing to evaluate safety features. Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of research and development projects while managing multi-disciplinary teams comprising staff and students. Compile, document, and present research results in reports, technical memoranda, and presentations at technical meetings. Actively seek externally-funded research projects as Principal Investigator or Co-PI, preparing proposals and presenting to sponsors. Conduct necessary literature reviews and background searches to support methodologies, ensuring all work adheres to safety practices, TTI, TAMUS, and IRB regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in relevant field of engineering
- 3 years of related professional experience
- Non-linear finite element modeling and simulation
- Design and testing of roadside safety devices
- Ability to frequently communicate with other individuals within the workplace
- Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
