Trusts & Estates Attorney responsible for estate planning, elder law, and administration, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives; representing clients in probate and estate administration; guiding Medicaid eligibility and application processes; collaborating with a team of attorneys; maintaining up-to-date knowledge of elder law, estate planning, and Medicaid rules; building and maintaining strong client relationships; operating on a flat-fee billing model with no billable hours.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Expertise in elder law, estate planning, and administration
- Deep understanding of New York State Bar and Medicaid requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in elder law and estate planning
- Extensive knowledge of Medicaid eligibility and application processes
- Proven track record in estate administration
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to interpret complex laws and regulations
