Job Summary

Trusts and Estates Tax Manager/Director at a well-established public accounting firm responsible for leading and growing the fiduciary tax practice. Core duties include leading the preparation and review of complex fiduciary, estate, gift, and individual income tax returns; providing technical guidance on trust and estate planning matters; advising clients and internal teams on estate administration, probate, and fiduciary accounting; researching federal and state tax issues; addressing IRS/state notices and audits; building long-term client relationships as a trusted advisor; supervising and mentoring tax professionals; identifying process improvements and enhancing client service. Hybrid work flexibility is offered. The role includes potential for partnership for qualified candidates and opportunities to mentor staff and contribute to firm growth.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of public accounting experience with a strong concentration in trust and estate taxation
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; Master's degree is a plus
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Strong understanding of fiduciary tax law, estate planning, and trust administration
  • Experience using professional tax software and accounting systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop staff
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines
