Job Summary

Draft and review estate planning documents for high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners. Assist with business succession, wealth transfer planning, and charitable planning involving tax-exempt organizations. Support federal and state income, gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning while preparing and reviewing federal estate and gift tax returns. Conduct legal and tax research to analyze complex estate planning issues and support estate and trust administration, including probate proceedings. Collaborate with senior attorneys on fiduciary advisory matters and progressively take on greater responsibility in client interactions.

Required Qualifications

  • 1–4 years of relevant experience in estate planning, trusts and estates, tax, or a closely related practice area
  • A strong foundational understanding of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related tax concepts
  • Excellent legal drafting, analytical, research, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively
  • A demonstrated interest in developing a long-term practice focused on trusts and estates
  • Strong academic credentials
  • A JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing of the bar in the jurisdiction(s) where admitted
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain Wisconsin Bar admission
