Job Summary
Trusts and Estates Paralegal supports the Trusts and Estates team by drafting legal documents (trust amendments, wills, powers of attorney), conducting legal research, preparing memoranda, assisting with client intake and case management, and coordinating communications between attorneys, clients, and beneficiaries. Responsibilities include preparing and filing court pleadings, managing deadlines, staying current on changes in trust and estate law, and maintaining accuracy. Requires a JD and 2+ years of experience in trust and estate law-related paralegal work; proficient with Microsoft Office; capable of independent work and handling multiple tasks with meticulous attention to detail and strong teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree required
- 2+ years of experience working as a trust and estate paralegal (or related legal field)
- Strong understanding of trust and estate law principles
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
