Job Summary

Assist a Trust Officer by accurately opening new accounts, preparing initial correspondence, and maintaining up-to-date account information while ensuring timely remittance processing. Manage asset and liability statements, client accounting, fee collection, and daily transaction processing, including collection, consolidation, reconciliation, and in-kind transfers. Minimize overdrafts, update asset values and cost bases, and strictly adhere to all CIBC processes and policies to ensure efficient and compliant trust account management. Interact regularly with clients, beneficiaries, lawyers, accountants, and financial planners to discuss account administration and conduct preliminary research for inquiries. Participate in intra and inter-departmental meetings, committees, and annual projects such as preparing QI documents and Annual Review Packages.

Required Qualifications

  • You are a certified professional
  • You have enrolled or are willing to enroll in STEP CETA1: Foundations & Trust Administration or any CSI and/or STEP Estate & Trust related courses
  • You have enrolled or are willing to enroll in the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization - Investment Dealer (CIRO-ID)
  • You need to be legally eligible to work at the location(s) specified above
  • You must have a valid work or study permit
  • You must have a valid driver's license
