Trust Accounting Clerk

Job Summary
Process a high volume of trust cheques and deposits, maintain investment accounts with major financial institutions, and handle real estate trust closings and payouts. Prepare and post wire transfers and EFT payments while completing monthly trust bank reconciliations and tracking quarterly Trust Administration Fee remittances. Maintain accurate electronic and paper records, ensure compliance with firm policies and trust accounting requirements, and assist with special projects and departmental initiatives. Full-time, permanent position in downtown Vancouver with a salary of $65,000 to $75,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 1 year of accounting experience
- Understanding of trust accounting principles
- Understanding of law society regulations
- Understanding of compliance requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word
- Strong technical and computer skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Organizational abilities
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
