Job Summary
Supervise and direct production teams in assembly, machining, and distribution while overseeing daily shop operations to meet production schedules safely and efficiently. Implement manufacturing and operational strategies to achieve safety, quality, and efficiency targets through continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and lean practices. Manage production cost control, labor planning, and plant financial performance by maintaining inventory, leading daily meetings, and tracking KPIs. Enforce safety policies, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and fleet regulations. Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate departments, vendors, and internal stakeholders to align order volume with capacity and drive internal advancement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years prior supervisory/management experience in manufacturing or assembly
- Knowledge of production workflows in door and millwork or truss manufacturing
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, quality systems, and scheduling tools
- Ability to speak, write, and read English
- Must be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job
- Must be able to type 30+ WPM
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
- Class C driver's license and must have and maintain a good driving record
- Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, and made of leather or composite material
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work indoors in a normal office environment for an entire day
- Must be able to grasp, talk, hear, and operate a computer and keyboard
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must be able to drive a vehicle when necessary
- Both local and overnight travel may be required

- Post-secondary or trade certification

- Ability and willingness to identify processes, tools and/or procedures that may be improved upon to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customers
