Job Summary
Truss Assembler I responsibilities include laying out truss supplies and stock, assembling components under line leadership, loading and banding finished materials, and receiving incoming materials. The role requires reading shop drawings to identify plate sizes, gauges, girder truss patterns, and bolt configurations, operating relevant assembly equipment, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace. Candidate should be able to monitor production flow, assist in inventory, and provide excellent customer service while adhering to attendance and safety policies. Skills emphasized include measuring with a tape, operating routers/saws/presses, and handling banding equipment, with focus on producing accurate, damage-free truss assemblies. Opportunities for advancement (e.g., Truss Assembler II/III/Lead) are available based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required
- Prior carpentry experience preferred
- Must be able to read a tape measure and use a hammer
