Job Summary
Place connector plates at truss joints, fit parts according to quality standards, and use mechanical rollers to embed plates before sending trusses through the finished press. Operate hand tools, saws, presses, and pneumatic staple and nail guns to complete assembly, then move completed products to the yard for delivery preparation. Stack finished items per established procedures and cover labels or band components as required. Inspect materials and products to ensure compliance with standards while working with wood and metal in a climate-controlled shop.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screens to company satisfaction
- Understands proper saw standards
- Self-directed, requiring little supervision
- Reliable adherence to attendance with set schedule
- Communicate both written and verbally
- Basic Math
- Able to accurately read a tape measure
- Able to follow directions
- Must be able to lift products weighing up to approximately 100 pounds
- Specific vision and hearing abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus and hear well enough to communicate with customers and co-workers
