Job Summary
Coordinate trucking operations for aggregate material deliveries, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with California and Nevada DOT and CARB regulations. Supervise and manage drivers, schedules, equipment utilization, and maintenance needs while coordinating with dispatch and plant operations. Lead, train, and support drivers and mechanics to maintain high performance standards, conduct regular safety meetings, and address driver concerns. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on operations, mileage, fuel usage, and delivery performance, while managing fuel ordering and tracking incidents or delays. Adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand, weather, or equipment availability.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL with double and triple endorsements
- Valid driver's license
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 3–5 years in trucking operations
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations (CA & NV)
- Fleet management knowledge
- Safety standards knowledge
- Ability to abide by Granite's Code of Conduct
- Team player mindset
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision
- Ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Some college
- Experience in aggregates or construction materials
- Ability to work in various computer software programs (excel, word, project, Heavy Job, The Dispatcher)
