Job Summary
Schedule and dispatch drivers, trucks, and loads; track shipments using GPS and dispatch software; communicate with drivers and resolve delivery issues; ensure DOT and safety compliance; maintain accurate load and mileage records; match freight with carriers and negotiate rates; handle billing, invoices, and documentation; build relationships with customers and carriers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- 1–3 years of dispatch or freight brokerage experience (preferred)
- Familiarity with dispatch or TMS software (e.g., McLeod, DAT, Truckstop)
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, GPS tools)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
