Trucking Dispatch Manager - On-site

Job Summary
Oversee dispatch operations for general freight, brokering, residential and HHG moves; coordinate drivers/trucks, hire HR support, and develop efficient routing to maximize resource use. Lead a team of drivers, conduct regular meetings/training, ensure safety/compliance with DOT regulations, and manage vehicle logs and maintenance. Communicate with customers to confirm move details and resolve issues, monitor progress to ensure timely arrivals/departures, and utilize dispatch software (DAT, booking tech) to optimize routes. Drive process improvements in logistics, stay current with industry trends, and collaborate across departments to control dispatch-related costs while delivering high customer satisfaction. On-site leadership in Belize City or Belmopan City, Belize.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in dispatch management, preferably in the moving or trucking industry
- Strong knowledge of dispatching principles, DOT regulations, and transportation logistics
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Zoom/ Teams) and/or other dispatch software
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed
