Job Summary

The Trucking Compliance Specialist ensures compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations by monitoring driver and vehicle activity including Hours of Service, licensing, and safety. The role requires maintaining accurate driver qualification files and managing critical records related to compliance documentation. Responsibilities also include leading training sessions on accident prevention and regulatory updates, supporting the company’s drug and alcohol testing program, and assisting in accident investigations. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in the trucking or transportation industry, a strong understanding of relevant regulations, and be capable of using fleet compliance software.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in trucking, transportation, or safety management
  • Strong working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations (49 CFR Parts 300–399)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience using fleet compliance software (Samsara preferred)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with drivers, supervisors, and management
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable

  • Must be able to perform physical demands such as sitting for extended periods and using hands for data entry and document handling
