Job Summary
Install truck bodies, plows, and commercial truck accessories; mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, etc. Basic weld experience (helpful). Train with other mechanics as needed. Follow safety rules and PPE requirements. 2+ years welding and electrical wiring; ability to build schematics; hydraulics knowledge a plus; operate power hand tools; work under Shop Supervisor with responsibility for installation of specialty truck equipment such as service utility bodies, stake bodies, dump bodies, hitches, and other accessories.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of welding skills (metal and aluminum)
- 2+ years of electrical wiring
- Ability to build schematics
- Complex Hydraulics knowledge and experience (a plus)
- Independent ability to troubleshoot
- Ability to operate power hand tools (and have basic tools)
