Job Summary
Unload daily deliveries safely and efficiently, sorting, organizing, and staging products in appropriate storage areas. Maintain a clean, organized backroom and storage area while reporting discrepancies, damaged goods, or inventory issues to management. Rotate products following FIFO practices to maintain freshness, properly handling items and using equipment while adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines. Work in cold temperatures lifting 8-32 pounds on average, with occasional lifts exceeding 50 pounds. This part-time role supports store operations at Wegmans Food Markets, a family-owned company dedicated to helping people live healthier lives through exceptional food.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be available for shifts starting as early as 4am
- Must be able to lift 8-32 pounds on average
- Must be able to lift greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently
- Must be able to work in cold temperatures
- Must be able to properly handle products, use equipment, and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines
