Job Summary
Install, remove, repair, replace, balance, and rotate commercial truck tires while inspecting them for wear, damage, and proper fit. Operate tire machines and other shop equipment, removing and installing tires by hand when needed. Safely lift, move, and handle commercial truck tires, and maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles. Document work completed and parts used, following all company safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines. Report unsafe conditions or equipment problems and complete required safety and technical training. Help other Technicians with technical questions and service needs when needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and tire service equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality work.
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ year of tire, automotive, fleet, or mechanical experience.
- Commercial truck tire experience.
- TIA (Tire Industry Association) certification.
- Experience operating tire-changing or balancing equipment.
