Job Summary
The Truck Shop Technician performs on-site service and repair of customer vehicles, both in the field and at a RTS facility. Responsibilities include following policies and procedures, diagnosing and troubleshooting vehicle and transmission issues, performing calibration of ECU’s and TCM’s, and maintaining organized records. A successful candidate should maintain high productivity while ensuring safety and quality, manage customer service interactions, and demonstrate dependability. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, relevant automotive experience, and a CDL license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three to six years of automotive, truck, or heavy equipment experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- CDL Class A or B with P endorsements required
- Good reading, writing, and verbal skills
- Strong comprehension skills
Desired Qualifications
- ASE certification desired
- Allison transmission maintenance/rebuild certifications desired
- Allison factory maintenance trained when required
- Allison factory R & R trained on all 10K products required
- Use of Allison Extranet accounts
- DOC software knowledge
