Job Summary
Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle condition, identifying worn or damaged parts. Complete preventive maintenance schedules, install upgrades, control corrosion, and perform winterization procedures to keep equipment available. Correct deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, and replacing major assemblies including power trains, electrical, brake, and steering systems. Perform machine shop operations, adjust controls, and verify performance through test drives while complying with federal and state safety standards. Maintain vehicle appearance, update service records, troubleshoot shop breakdowns, and manage inventory. Requires own tools, CDL within six months, and strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
