Job Summary
Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel engines and related systems, while conducting routine maintenance and inspections on heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports using specialized tools to assess vehicle performance. Oversee and mentor junior mechanics, provide guidance and training, and maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while communicating effectively with team members and management regarding repair needs and progress. Requires A.S.E. Certification, five years of heavy equipment experience, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Automotive Service Excellence (A.S.E.) Certification
- 5 years of experience working with heavy equipment vehicles
- strong knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license
