Job Summary
Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel engines and related systems. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports. Oversee and mentor junior mechanics, providing guidance and training as needed. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding repair needs and progress. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess vehicle performance. Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient operations. This Level 3 Diesel Mechanic role requires ASE certification, five years of heavy equipment experience, and a valid driver's license. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Automotive Service Excellence (A.S.E.) Certification
- 5 years of experience working with heavy equipment vehicles
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift heavy equipment up to 80 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
