Job Summary
Truck Shop Mechanic-2nd Shift responsible for diagnosing and repairing electric, diesel, and gasoline vocational trucks. Performs maintenance, ignition system installation, wheel alignment, battery work, transmissions replacement, engine replacement, inspection of guards and safety devices, lubrication, fabrication of lifting or towing attachments and hydraulic systems, collision repair, sanding, prepping, painting, and ensuring state inspections for cars, trucks, and trailers. Requires a one-year certificate in diesel mechanics or two years of related experience, and a CDL Class A or B (or ability to obtain within one year). Must be willing to work a 2nd shift and meet physical requirements; emphasizes OSHA safety policies and team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school in diesel mechanics or a related field
- 2 years of related experience and/or training
- Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain within one year
- Clean driving record
- Willing and able to work a 2nd shift schedule
