Job Summary
The Truck Service Technician 3 role involves diagnosing, repairing, reconditioning and adjusting key systems and components of trucks and equipment. The technician is expected to perform detailed engine and related equipment repairs, troubleshoot complex engine malfunctions, provide quality control inspections, and maintain equipment in good order. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills, experience with computer diagnostic tools, and the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and customers. A high school diploma or equivalent along with three years of experience, and specific certifications in driving and safety are required. The position is classified as senior-level, typically requiring over six years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Accreditation from a technical school or applicable skilled trades program required
- Minimum of three years of experience required
- Has met HDSI requirements for preceding Technician levels
- On-going Safety Training required
- Must own and maintain the necessary tools to efficiently perform the job
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Desired Qualifications
- CDL – Class A or B required
- ASE – Medium/Heavy Truck Certification preferred
- AC Certification Required
- Brake System Certification Required
