Job Summary
Truck Sales Manager role overseeing the New/Used Truck Department, driving profitability through strategic inventory management, pricing, and relationship-building with customers. Key duties include managing daily operations, negotiating and acquiring inventory, providing appraisal values, developing and executing sales/marketing plans to meet department targets, evaluating performance against goals, conducting market scans to adjust strategy, approving or rejecting branch truck deals, maintaining knowledge of wholesale/retail truck values, training Truck Sales Associates, and coordinating with branch staff to support company objectives. Required experience includes 3-5 years in heavy-duty truck sales or related fields, strong management capability, and ability to lead a team with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (AA) or comparable work experience
- Three to five years heavy duty truck sales or related experience
- Management skills including strategic plan development, decision making abilities and program implementation
- Ability to demonstrate extensive product knowledge to customers and staff
- Highly organized, detail oriented and results driven
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Computer, mathematical and customer service skills
- Physical ability to bend, kneel, stoop and lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors and in weather-exposed environments
