Job Summary
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair diesel truck and other company equipment while performing preventive, general, and predictive maintenance. Complete recordkeeping and documentation for all repairs and fabricate tools, parts, and equipment as needed. Assist in training entry-level mechanics and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures. Maintain a clean workspace and facility, using resources safely to minimize equipment downtime. Requires five years of truck mechanic experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Regional travel is required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid drivers' license
- 5 years' experience as a truck mechanic or in a fleet setting
- Basic Microsoft Office and computer skills
- regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Regional travel
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Automotive/Diesel mechanics degree and/or manufacturer CBT training course certificates
- Knowledge of preventative, predictive, routine, non-routine, and emergency maintenance for equipment primarily powered by diesel and gasoline engines and auxiliary equipment
