Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment. Estimate time and material costs, complete required paperwork, and respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns. Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate and OSHA standards while performing all work according to established safety procedures. Work Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 12:30 am, with occasional Saturdays, at a repair and maintenance shop in Walker, LA. This role supports the maintenance of the largest heavy-duty natural gas truck fleet in North America.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- A valid drivers' license, with a clean driving record
- Be over 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Required to exert physical effort that will include but is not limited to frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; Constantly standing, walking, and grasping; Occasionally: sitting and balancing
- Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) often
- Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often
- This job operates in both inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred: Welding experience and ASE certifications are a plus!
