Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel equipment and CNG trucks while responding to emergency service calls. Estimate time and material costs for repairs, perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times, and complete required documentation for parts usage and repair times. Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards and conduct safety checks on vehicles. Review and assign repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. Work Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 2:30 pm with occasional Saturdays, performing physical tasks including frequent lifting, pushing, and climbing in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- A valid drivers' license, with a clean driving record
- Be over 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment
- Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts
- Perform your work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs)
- Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns
- Safety checks on vehicles
- Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
- Completion of project work
- Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Required to exert physical effort that will include but is not limited to frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing
- Constantly standing, walking, and grasping
- Occasionally: sitting and balancing
- Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) often
- Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often
- This job operates in both inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity
- Monday – Friday every week (occasional Saturdays, as needed)
- 5:00 am-2:30 pm
