Job Summary
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently, unloading cages to sort materials for proper storage. Transport materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks or hand trucks and prepare salvage materials accurately for shipment. Assist drivers with loading and unloading during delivery routes, accompanying them to locations to handle materials manually or with equipment while following their direction. Maintain a courteous demeanor during customer interactions and ensure necessary equipment is available for route service. Keep the warehouse clean and organized to support efficient operations. This role supports the Goodwill mission of empowering people to achieve their most abundant life through customer-first service and a commitment to safety.
Required Qualifications
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to accurately weigh and record material
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Reliable transportation
- Current driver's license
- Proof of insurance
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Flexible availability
- Ability to frequently bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, push and pull, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 70 lbs
- Ability to use floor scales, hand cart, and other standard equipment
