Job Summary
Truck Helper position at Salvation Army New Bern Family Store in New Bern, NC. Assists in picking up donated items by riding in the Salvation Army truck and lifting/hauling donations into the truck and unloading at the warehouse; helps navigate for the Truck Driver; ensures accountability, security, and safety of donated items in route; assists in maintaining the vehicle and complying with standards. Performs sorting duties as needed (receiving, sorting, pricing, and preparing donations for display), maintains orderliness and cleanliness of warehouse and store areas, and cleans facilities. Responsibilities include loading/unloading donations, inspecting items for acceptability, preparing receipts, basic truck maintenance, and light housekeeping tasks.
