Job Summary
Drive established routes to collect donated clothing and household items from customers’ homes and donation bins, and deliver to corporate partners and storage facilities. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, complete required paperwork, manage Hours-of-Service logs, and communicate with dispatch. Ensure safety and compliance with applicable laws, maintain a professional public image, assist donors, and participate in required driving-related training. Requires Grade 12 education (or equivalent), a Full Class 5 license (or higher), and a minimum of 5 years driving experience with a clean driving record; ability to read maps, lift 10-50 lbs, and strong organizational and customer-service skills. This is a part-time role up to 29 hours per week with a consistent schedule developed in collaboration with operations; includes a signing bonus and benefits such as employer-paid pension plan.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 Education or equivalent
- Must have Full Class 5 and / or G license or higher, passenger car or light truck
- Must have a minimum of 5 years actual driving experience at the above level
- Must have a clean driver abstract, less than 21 days old, with no violations or accidents within the last 3 years
- Ability to read maps
- Ability to handle 10-50 lbs. loads
- Strong organizational skills, ability to map routes for efficient pickup
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and, where applicable, must have a valid work permit
