Job Summary
Deliver fuel locally to homes and businesses in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining the delivery truck by reviewing maintenance records, performing inspections, and reporting vehicle conditions. Account for funds and inventory using a user-friendly handheld terminal while providing superior customer service. This role supports Suburban Propane's nationwide distribution of propane and renewable energy products through approximately 700 locations across 42 states.
Required Qualifications
- Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT, tanker, and air brake endorsements
- valid Medical Examiner's Certificate allowing for operation in interstate commerce
- Ability to lift and pull equipment that weighs 50 to 75 lbs
- Exceptional customer service skills
- English Language Proficiency qualification requirements in 49 CFR §391.11(b)(2)
- ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public
- ability to understand highway traffic signs and signals in English
- ability to respond to official inquiries
- ability to make entries on reports and records
