Truck Driver - Straight Truck

Job Summary
Operate a 26’ Straight Truck (Non-CDL) delivering aluminum extrusions and related materials to area customers. Safely operate the vehicle in compliance with local, state, federal and company driving regulations; ensure cargo is properly secured; load/unload materials using proper handling methods; review shipping paperwork for accuracy; wear PPE; maintain DOT-compliant ELD logbook; perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain truck cleanliness and safety; communicate professionally with customers, warehouse personnel, and supervisors; notify management of delivery issues or damaged material; role typically involves driving, loading/unloading, and handling a variety of weather conditions; 50% driving, 30% walking, 20% standing; equal opportunity employer; drug-free workplace.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Preferably 3 years of experience driving a 53ft tractor trailer
- Clean MVR with no more than one major violation within the past 5 years
- Have or be able to get a DOT Medical Card
- Lift and carry heavy material up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English effectively
- Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to read tape measure
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions
