Job Summary
Truck Driver responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, equipment, and materials within the airport premises using cargo trucks and delivery vans. Load and unload cargo, secure items for transport, follow delivery schedules, conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain logs, coordinate with airport staff, and comply with airport safety and security procedures. Must adapt to varying work schedules (including nights and weekends) and participate in safety trainings. Demonstrates PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards and can assist in emergency situations as required.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial truck driving
- Knowledge of safety regulations and cargo securing procedures
- Physical stamina for loading and unloading cargo
- Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically (IPads/Tablets, Computers, Mobile Devices)
- Effective communication in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
- Willingness to work varying shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
