Job Summary
Truck Driver position at Rexel USA Mayer team in Mobile, AL responsible for delivering products to/from customers and branches in a delivery van or box truck (CDL not required). Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, maintaining the vehicle, complying with DOT/local/state laws, loading/unloading materials, verifying correct quantities and catalog numbers, preparing orders for delivery, handling delivery documentation, and mentorship/training of entry-level drivers. Requires a valid driver’s license, be at least 21, pass background checks and medical certification requirements, and ability to travel to offsite locations. Emphasizes safety, customer service, time management, and ability to work overtime; opportunity for career advancement within Rexel USA.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record
- Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire
- Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years
- Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years
- Must be able to pass DOT/local/state driving laws and regulations
- No CDL required (explicit in posting)
- Able to operate a delivery van/box truck
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience with loading/unloading and inventory checks
