Job Summary
Operate a heavy-duty truck-tractor with semi-trailer hauling commodities for the Welfare Self-Reliance Department and General Church throughout the United States and Canada. Conduct daily vehicle inspections, perform simple maintenance, and complete safety training while pre-planning routes and following all traffic laws and Federal Hours of Service guidelines. Deliver on-time within a 750-mile radius of the home terminal, potentially deploying for multiple days, or haul farm commodities using specialized agricultural equipment requiring doubles and heavy-haul experience. Manage piece-rate compensation based on miles and stops, handle loading/unloading, refueling, and cleaning, and serve as company advocates and church ambassadors in all customer and public interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Heavy-duty truck-tractor operation
- Semi-trailer hauling experience
- Doubles and heavy-haul experience
- Endorsements
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Ability to conduct daily vehicle inspections
