Job Summary
Collect and transport donations from home pickups and drop boxes along scheduled routes, unloading goods at the distribution center while maintaining daily truck logs and ensuring proper vehicle inspections. Operate the clothing and linens baler in the warehouse receiving dock, managing cardboard breakdown and removal while keeping the area clean and organized. Deliver items to Store #2, the Food Pantry, and other facilities as required, communicating donation policies politely to donors and providing tax receipts upon request. Maintain regular attendance, comply with safety policies, and uphold professional courtesy when serving as a public-facing representative for the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, push or pull
- Must have normal close (20 inches or less) and distance (20 feet or more) vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must be able to adjust focus
- Must have vision suitable for driving and navigating uneven terrain while carrying heavy loads
- Must be able to be exposed to frequent moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles
- Must be able to be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Must be able to be exposed to vibration
- Must be able to be exposed to occasional wet or humid conditions
- Must be able to be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals
